FEMECO project aims to use the transformative force of digital tools for educational purposes and deliver an innovative, first of its kind EU-funded project, in re-usable menstrual items and baby diapers. It equips women of any age and adult education providers with green and entrepreneurship skills in order to develop sustainable and eco-friendly lifestyle and undertake their own social enterprises. Considering that the majority of the partner organizations work and have direct access to vulnerable women and communities, the project seeks to create employment paths particularly for disadvantageous women. The project addresses also period poverty and the high prices of such products and at the same time offers solutions and incentives for women to produce their own eco-friendly, sustainable and re-usable hygiene cloths and baby diapers.
